I am concerned about the proposed extension of the naturalisation period from 5 to 10 years. Having lived and worked in the Netherlands for the past three years, paying taxes, and actively integrating into society, I feel that applying this change retroactively would be unjust. It creates uncertainty for those of us who have invested time and effort in building a life here. I strongly believe that this new requirement should only affect new arrivals, so that people already contributing to Dutch society can continue planning their futures without disruption.
