I do not agree with extending the period for obtaining a Dutch passport to ten years, because such a long waiting time creates uncertainty and makes it difficult to plan for the future. As a scientist and entrepreneur, I need stability to build my career, invest in ideas, and contribute to society. Without the security of citizenship, it is challenging to make long-term commitments, both professionally and personally. A shorter and more predictable pathway would not only support individuals like me but also encourage innovation and investment in the Netherlands.
