I’ve found it frustrating especially for people who came here by considering 5 year in their life planning. I think most of the highly skilled migrants, if 5 years of requirement extends to 10 years, i would expect a lot of highly skilled migrant would leave the country if it increases to 10 years. In order to help these people better integrate, like and stay in the country, helping them to learn language and culture is essential. Also, a lot of highly skilled migrant will appreciate and make even more effort to integrate when Dutch citizens are in general welcoming in social life. Most of the highly skilled migrants are bringing value to this country and losing them might impact economy and social wellbeing in general.
