U kunt op de gehele regeling en memorie van toelichting reageren.Changing the term for naturalisation from 5 to 10 years would only discourage the global talent from coming to Netherlands in pursuit of opportunities and those who seek to build a life here. On one hand the Netherlands wants to attract people from all over the world who can fuel its ambitions of becoming the center of European as well as worldwide deep tech hub and on the other hand introducing such a laws that undermine the guarantee of a stable life and a rather smooth pathway to integration within the Dutch society for these people, portrays a lack of seriousness on part of the Dutch government and it's willingness to do political point scoring at the expense of jeopardising a much bigger cause. Dutch government should rather take this opportunity to snatch away the talent at a time when powers like USA are on the decline and shouldn't follow suit as they would then find themselves in sunken in the same hole that is inevitably the destination of the waning superpower i.e. USA. Policies of the government in Netherlands in past have been to the detriment of its people as can be seen by the current housing crisis so the government should really not fiddle with things that are working very well for them at this point. In short the law should stay as it is and term for naturalisation should stay 5 years which in essence is enough time for integration!
