U kunt op de gehele regeling en memorie van toelichting reageren. As I foreign worker living in the Netherlands for several years, I think extension is rather harmful. It will mostly affect mobile, highly skilled migrants. Because they are more likely to demand voting rights, influence on domestic policies to improve the quality of life, and contribute to society, they are an active part of the local communities. And extension will diminish the sense of belonging to the nation and local community. I would also say it will affect the integration process as people get the passport, they start feeling of belonging that will push them to integrate more. Hence, the backwardness is that if Nederland extends the process for 10 years, it will lose mostly high-skilled migrants, because most migrants with lower qualifications and 'bad intentions' do not care about nationality, because they have other problems - work, survival, money, etc. In the long run, the Nederland will lose only qualified, mostly young, talented people. What I support is to increase language requirements to B1.
