I am deeply saddened hearing this news. Because I moved to Netherlands with my family to settle down here and have put my kid in a Dutch school. This 5 to 10 years rule change of citizenship put our plans of settling down in jeopardy. As someone might later come and say let’s make it 15 years as i see people are still not integrating after 10 years. So this rule at least should not be applicable for people who have already come into the Netherlands before the law is passed.
