This change, if applied, would make the Netherlands a much less attractive option for highly skilled migrants to the country- who have moved here for the opportunity that Netherlands provides but also to contribute to build the Netherlands economy and integrate into the society. Additionally to apply the change retrospectively to people who moved here under the current guidance and regulation would be highly demotivating to such a populace and may see them leaving in the short term, adding to challenges for the economy. This must be reconsidered.
