Hello, i am one of the non Eu student who graduated in the Netherlands. I would like to say the change to 10 years is really unfair. Because in my opinion, i have studied here for 6 years and even those 6 years are not allowed to count as staying here since i was on a short visa called study visa. I did know i have to stay 5 years in order to have a dutch passport and i agree with that since its a good amount of time to intergrate into another culture. But 10 years? I understand the government effort trying to make immigrant intergrate better but this is not the way. The best way to weed out all the people who want to stay here but have no intwntion of intergrating is to check their record whether they have commited crimes repeatedly or not. Or sending out survey or let them do tests on the cuture of the netherland. Im sorry but as a person who lived and study here for 6 year. 10 years is too much of a long time to get a dutch citizenship. I sincerily hope that the IND change their mind. Thank you for reading
