I agree with the proposed extension of the naturalization period to ten years as stated in the coalition program and implemented through this bill. However, I recommend that consideration be given to individuals who have already completed their civic integration exam and have been legally residing in the Netherlands for at least four years. These individuals have clearly demonstrated their commitment to integration and Dutch society. Allowing them an earlier opportunity for naturalization would serve as recognition of their efforts and encourage continued active participation within the community.
