I am opposed to the proposed extension of naturalization periods. Many of us have already spent years building our lives here paying high rents, studying, paying taxes, and contributing to Dutch society as skilled professionals. We have worked hard to integrate, learned the language, and raised our families here. Extending the waiting period would ignore these efforts and contributions, and would be unfair.
