I do not support this proposal, as it will have negative consequences in several areas:
1. Economic impact: Extending the naturalization period will make the Netherlands less attractive for highly skilled and specialized professionals. Many may choose to move to other European countries with more favorable conditions, which will weaken the Dutch economy and its competitiveness.
2. Professional security: Highly qualified professionals, myself included, will experience a sense of uncertainty about their future. This may reduce the willingness to fully invest in their careers and lives in the Netherlands.
3. Social and family impact: Children who grow up here, learn the Dutch language, and integrate into society will have to wait much longer before obtaining Dutch nationality. This undermines their sense of belonging and does not encourage genuine integration.
For these reasons, I strongly urge you to reconsider this proposal and ensure that the Netherlands remains an attractive destination for talented professionals while providing families with a sense of security and stability
