I am against extending the naturalization period from 5 years to 10 years. Within 5 years, migrants already have sufficient time to learn the language, participate in the labor market, pay taxes, and integrate into Dutch society. Extending this period to 10 years is unfair and may discourage migrants, creating a sense of inequality and exclusion. Such a policy could also reduce motivation for integration and participation. In my opinion, keeping the current 5-year period is more reasonable, humane, and beneficial for both migrants and Dutch society."
