I object to the proposal to extend the naturalisation period from 5 to 10 years.

I have been living and working in the Netherlands for over 3 years, we are building a future here, participating in local clubs and learning the language. I bought a house and want to live here happily with my family considering this as my own land and suddenly this changes and it cant be digested by most of the people like me. Everyday we are dedicating our self to learn the language and speak to people so that we can integrate well. and this 10 years will only shatter the dreams of many genuine people and Dutch citizenship offers the certainty to fully invest and contribute which we are already committed to do.
In my Opinion extension to 10 years discourages the very people that the Netherlands needs. Retain 5 years, offer transitional arrangements and strengthen integration through participation, not through years of uncertainty.
