I oppose the extension of naturalisation because;
1. A 5-year period already encourages immigrants to integrate into Dutch society, learn the language, and adapt to cultural norms. Lengthening it might reduce motivation.
2. Immigrants contribute economically through work, taxes, and entrepreneurship. A shorter pathway can enhance their economic participation sooner.
3. Integration is a two-way process; extending the period might slow social cohesion and mutual understanding between immigrants and native Dutch citizens.
