To whom it may concern,
This legislation worries me enormously because it is very unclear who, what and why something is designated as a terrorist organisation and by whom.
As we can see in Britain, speaking out against genocide in Gaza and for Palestine Action is earmarked as grounds for arrest. This is a blatant curtailment of freedom of speech. The band Kneecap (now acquitted by the courts), Massive Attack and Bob Vylan have been denied speech for the same reason. To muzzle artists is not something befitting an open and liberal society but does evoke memories of entartete art. The fact that this is now a talking point, made possible by this legislation, is outrageous.
Lobbyists from Israel throwing Pax for Peace under the bus and this frame which is adopted without contradiction by BBB et al shows just how vulnerable this legislation really is. Who decides what terrorism is and who protects freedom of speech and criticism of a state? The latter two are a great asset and should stand above this legislation.
This is a bill that arose because certain parties want to enable the protection of Israel's illegal actions. That is not what a law is for. Please stop this.
