This Bill is part of a brother movement of misusing anti terrorism laws to silence legitimacy dissent against the genocide in Palestine.

Not only will passing it expose The Dutch government to greater liability for enabling war crimes (once a Nuremberg type committee is established), it can also be used in the future by various giverments to criminalize any dissent against them. This presents an existential threat to the freedoms that according to the duch constitution and culture.

The Netherlands has always prided itself on being a place where anyone is free to say what he likes. As Words are not the same as weapons. Free speech is a core part of Dutch life and identity. You only need to look at the recent mess in the uk and the us to see why this law is a terrible idea. Police are not well equipped to enforce these kinds of laws- which puts them in the position of kingmaker on topics that are often beyond their area of expertise. Forcing police to enforce these laws can compromise public trust in the police force and their impartiality. Declining trust in police has real consequences for the effectiveness of law enforcement in all areas, with ripple effects across the whole system, and should not be treated lightly.

Additionally, the evidence forms other jurisdictions (see the uk), suggest enforcement of this law is likely to put the Netherlands in breach of ECHR obligations. This could result in judgments and convictions being overturned at great financial cost to the public purse and to tax payers, with no discernible benefit. The Netherlands already has the powers we need to tackle actual terrorism. This measure is for cracking down on free speech. It is anti Dutch and anti freedom.
