There were a number of studies made that kids at age 3+ learn more languages easier than at later stage. Moreover they perform better with other disciplines in the future. Giving the possibility to speak with kids some other language other than Dutch won't harm kids but will possibly give them a possibility to benefit in the future. And obviously we are living at the time when even two languages are no longer a unique skill, so why not to start speaking with children in 2nd language at early stage?!
