Dear all
After careful review of the provided document, please find here the contribution of the Airport Unit form the Operation Division of the Network Manager (EUROCONTROL)
1) We will not comment the environmental target and associated noise reduction measures.
2) We will not comment the slot allocation process of slot allocation that will be set out in a policy rule, it is however important to note that this process might take into consideration the 2 points below
3) Impact of traffic transfer to other airports in the area:
We want to raise the importance of the coordination with the concerned airports for them to anticipate the traffic transfer and to allow them to minimise the impact the increase of movement could have on ground delay. The Network Manager remains available to assess and anticipate this airport/network impact. In any case, this should be reflected in future yearly Network Operation plan.

4) Impact on the European connectivity:
Amsterdam being one of the major Hub in Europe, reduction of flight number will have, as side effect, an impact on European connectivity. In other words, the possibility for a European citizen to travel inside or outside the union. Some regional airports already expressed concerns about reduction or disappearance of direct flights from/to Amsterdam with, as consequence, reduction of the offer for long-haul connecting flight from their platform resulting in increased travelling time and price. This aspect is not necessary a primary Amsterdam’s concerns but has real effect on the network that could be considered in the process of flight reduction. The Network Manager remains available to support you in the assessment of this.
