I disagree with this new Act as it is going to cause more harm than good. The Dutch government should realise that scientific research will be greatly stunted and we must continue to investigate these substances to advance our knowledge of their potential benefits. There is already a growing body of research into the amazing potential of psychedelics for treating patients with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I'm sure the government are aware of this research and it would be a great shame to place these barriers against scientific research. Of course, people will always consume drugs and find ways to access to them. However, many of the street drugs are incredibly dangerous when they are impure and mixed with dangerous substances. If people actually order from research labs then it greatly minimises the harm caused as people will be consuming substances that are properly made and tested in a responsible manner.
