As can be seen from the past drug bans do not reduce demand only move it to the black market. This is a great financial loss since government no longer collects taxes and wastes money and time catching drug dealers. If you really wanted to improve health you would enforce education about these substances, beneficial uses of them and harm reduction. At the end of the day a person should have the freedom to consume whatever (s)he wants to as long as s(he) is not harming others.
